Puneet finds his passion and purpose in simplifying how businesses and consumers interact with one another through technology. Through his work, he enjoys nurturing the passion for finding and growing lifelong friendships. He is most excited about Gaming, SaaS platforms, Agri-tech, and consumer brands in India. He was an active gamer during his IIT days and almost joined Zynga during his MBA at Stanford. He came back to India last year and has been very active in the gaming ecosystem since then.
In his life before Nexus, he dabbled with entrepreneurship, consulting and advising startups in education, entertainment, SaaS and consumer tech. Most recently, he led one of McKinsey’s first sales acceleration programs for a leading SaaS startup in India. During his time at McKinsey, he led projects that helped companies bring new and disruptive technologies to market in the US, Europe, and India. His most engaging experiences pre-McKinsey include stints at a global macro hedge fund (Passport Capital), and with start-ups in Silicon Valley and India in consumer tech.
Puneet grew up around small-scale entrepreneurs and farmers in a small town in Rajasthan. He studied engineering at IIT Madras and has complemented his engineering education through an MBA from the Stanford GSB, and the CFA program. He joined Stanford as a Reliance Dhirubhai Fellow (100% sponsorship) and graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar (top 10% of the class). In his leisure time, Puneet enjoys playing poker, board games, tennis, and photography.
